Job Description



Job Tasks include: 


  • Act as second in command of the Kitchen team, working with the Exec Chef to ensure all ordering, payroll and health and safety requirements are met .

  • Senior level Supervision and Preparation of buffet Breakfast, buffet Lunch, a la Carte Dining, Bar Meals and Room Service in addition to overseeing the preparation of meals for the staff canteen.

  • Ensure the menu planning and change is done at regular intervals in restaurants as well as staff canteen .

  • Senior level Supervision and Preparation of Banquet meals and private dining including Weddings, Conference lunches and Parties.

  • Ensuring proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish as per the specification and monitoring the quality and quantity of food that is prepared.

  • Communicate and work closely with the Food and Beverage team to ensure prompt service and full understanding of menu items.

  • Assist in the preparation of daily specials to develop culinary skills and creativity.

  • Coach and develop junior members of the kitchen team, taking on supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, training and performance management. Ensure the career growth of the employees are taken care of .

  • Conduct training to all the staff in the kitchen on various aspects related to kitchen , hygiene , safety , equipment handling etc.,

  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Manager.

  • Speak with others using clear and professional language. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others.

  • Standing and walking for an extended period of time and plan the manpower needs and work scheduling .

  • Ensure employees grievances are addressed on timely basis and their engagement levels are up to the standards .
